Busyness

Life gets busy.
As moms, we often wear many hats.

Etc.

What should be at the top of the list, often falls to the bottom.
We get caught up in the busyness of life.
Our earthly priorities take over our spiritual priorities.
I know that I need to find time with the Lord and make him the only priority.
Yet, it is so hard to niche that time in every single day when I have small children who have needs that I have to meet. Needs that they are not capable of meeting on their own.
How do you find that balance?
How do you take care of everything in the home and still find time to rest in the Lord?
I struggle daily with this.
I find little 5 minute blocks of time that I can do a little devotional or prayer.
I shoot up arrow prayers.
But I still feel like it is not enough.
I know I need to be in the word.
I know I need to be doing a study.
Reality often takes over.
The dishes need washed.
The children are arguing.
A diaper needs changed.
Dinner needs cooked.
Laundry needs folded.
I just keep pushing forward.
I find the minutes when I can.
I trust.
I have faith.
The Lord knows me.
He knows my mind and He knows my heart.
He knows I have earthly responsibilities.
He shows me so much grace for this.
He loves me despite it all.

Friday Feedback~ Things I wish I had known the first time

Posted By: Missy  //  Category: Friday Feedback, motherhood
Here I am with baby #3. The first year is already almost over. There are so many things that I do differently now then when I was a first time mom.
The five second rule
Scheduled naps and bedtime
House perfectly clean and sanitized
Bottles and pacifiers always clean and sanitized
Every baby product in Babies R Us
What kinds of things have you done differently with your 2nd, 3rd, etc. child?
